Learn to improvise equipment, deal with challenging environments, and make difficult decisions with confidence on your Wilderness Upgrade for Medical Professionals (WUMP) course.
You'll learn to apply your urban emergency care knowledge to the wilderness through case studies and practical scenarios with mock patients. Our seasoned instructors will guide you through five days of intense, hands-on learning to make sure you are prepared in the wilderness.
You'll learn both in the classroom and in outdoor settings regardless of weather, so come prepared for wet, muddy, cold or hot environments!

Location: Mountain Humane, 101 Croy Creek Rd, Hailey, ID 83333
Class is from 8am-5pm each day with 1 hour for lunch. We will have Additional evening sessions on Days 3 & 4 from approximately 6:30-10pm
Travel
Mountain Humane is about 1 mile West of downtown Hailey. Please park near the large outdoor dog run and enter through the patio doors.
Meals & Lodging
Students are required to arrange all lodging and food. Many food and lodging options are available in Hailey, the nearest camping is West on Deer Creek Road on the North side of Hailey.
HeartCode BLS
A CPR certification is not included with the class as the needs of the students vary.
Students may complete an optional AHA HeartCode BLS (Professional Level) CPR Certification on this course. You may sign up for this when you register for the class. We will complete the skills test at the end of the first day of class. Please verify your CPR certification requirements with your agency.
