REGISTRATION POLICIES

Cancellation Policy

Due to the nature of booking courses, sites, instructors, and travel logistics long before course dates, as well as limited classroom space available, NOLS and Idaho Rescue Training have implemented the following registration and cancellation policies.

 

Idaho Rescue Training cannot offer exceptions, including for illness, travel delays, or family emergencies.  The expenses paid and attendance are solely the responsibility of the student.

Tuition Protection Plans

Students are encouraged to purchase a Tuition Protection Plan with Travel Insurance through MDM Group.

All Hybrid Courses & Singapore Wilderness First Aid

NOLS is taking registrations for these courses.  Please review their cancellation and payment policies at https://nols.edu/en/wilderness-medicine/planning/policies/

Wilderness First Aid & Wilderness Upgrade for Medical Providers (US-Based Courses)

  • 15 days or greater prior to the course start date: 

    • Students may cancel their registration and will receive a refund less a $50.00 fee.

    • Students may transfer to another Idaho Rescue Training class for a $50 fee plus any cost difference.

  • Less than 15 days prior to the course start date: 

    • Students may transfer to another Idaho Rescue Training class for a $150 fee plus any course cost difference.

    • Students may cancel their registration for a $200 fee.

  • After 5pm (local time for the course) the day before the course

    • There will be no refunds, transfers, or cancellations.​

International Wilderness First Responder (Thailand, Greenland, Nepal)

30 days or greater prior to the course start date: 

    • Students may cancel their registration and will receive a refund less a $50.00 fee.

    • Students may transfer to another Idaho Rescue Training class for a $50 fee plus any cost difference.

  • Less than 30 days prior to the course start date: 

    • Students may transfer to another Idaho Rescue Training class for a $300 fee plus any course cost difference.

    • Students may cancel their registration for a $500 fee.

  • After 5pm (local time for the course) 7 days before the course

    • There will be no refunds, transfers, or cancellations.​​

Optional CPR

Optional CPR fees will be refunded if the CPR link is unused.

Everest Base Camp

Additional Policies for the Everest Base Camp WUMP apply and are detailed on the EBC Course Page

Payment Policy

No course space will be held without payment.

​

Wilderness First Aid

  • Payment in full is due at the time of registration

Wilderness First Responder & Wilderness Upgrade for Medical Providers

  • A $300 deposit is required to reserve your space.

  • Tuition in full is due 15 days before the course start date (US-Based)

  • Tuition in full is due 30 days before the course start date for international courses (Thailand, Greenland, Nepal)

  • Failure to pay in full for a course by the deadline will result in the cancellation of your registration and retention of all monies paid.

International Students

Payment may be arranged in local currency.

Waitlists

If a class is full, a waitlist will be offered.  Students are highly encouraged to join waitlists!

 

If a space becomes available, registration will open online and the entire waitlist will all be notified at once for first-come registrations.  No payment is required to join a waitlist.
