If you work or recreate in the outdoors or in other austere environments where access to medical care is delayed or communication is unreliable, our 10 day Wilderness First Responder course is for you! It is the industry standard for professional guides, trip leaders, search and rescue team members, outdoor recreationists, and international travelers.
Upon completion, you will be able to conduct a thorough physical exam, obtain a patient history, assess vital signs, provide emergency care in the wilderness, and make crucial evacuation decisions.

Location: Boise State Outdoor Program, 1515 W University Dr, Boise, ID 83725
The class will run from 8 am to 5 pm each day with 1 hour for lunch around noon-1pm. We will also have evening sessions on March 21 and March 25. This is a 9-Day WFR with no day off.
Travel, Meals, and Lodging
Travel
The Boise State Outdoor Program classroom is at the Boise State Recreation Center. On-site directions will be sent out pre-course. Free Street parking is available to the east and southeast of the classroom. Boise State will not be in session during the class.
Meals and Lodging
There is not meals and lodging package available for this course. Students are required to arrange all lodging and food. Many food and lodging options are available in Boise.
