If you work or recreate in the outdoors or in other austere environments where access to medical care is delayed or communication is unreliable, our 10 day Wilderness First Responder course is for you! It is the industry standard for professional guides, trip leaders, search and rescue team members, outdoor recreationists, and international travelers.
Upon completion, you will be able to conduct a thorough physical exam, obtain a patient history, assess vital signs, provide emergency care in the wilderness, and make crucial evacuation decisions.

The class will run from 8 am to 5 pm each day with 1 hour for lunch around noon-1pm. We will have evening sessions on the 3rd and 8th days of class and a day off on the 6th day of the course.

Crossroads of the West Council is in South Ogden, about 30 minutes north of Salt Lake City
Meals and Lodging
There is not meals and lodging package available for this course. Students are required to arrange all lodging and food.
There are several lodging and dining options in the Ogden area.
